FASD and Professionals

Professionals

 Medical and Allied Health

Medical and allied health professionals play a crucial role in advising pregnant patients not to drink, and in identifying patients with FAS/FASD to ensure they receive proper care and services. Talk to your patients, especially women between 18-44 about alcohol use during pregnancy. Give a clear, consistent message: There is no safe time, no safe kind and no safe amount of alcohol use during pregnancy.
